The Architecture Centre Network, an advocacy organization which represents 23 architecture centers in the UK, organized an International Education Salon entitled "Ways into Architecture Learning." The conference brought together 65 education specialists from around the world to discuss new methods for educating children on the built environment. Sessions focused on using emerging technology to explore and communicated ideas about architecture.
Dates for the 2010 AAO/A+DEN Conference, "DESIGN IN ACTION: Inspiring Solutions for People and Cities," have been announced. This year's annual gathering will take place in Chicago on November 15 & 16, 2010. Registration begins July 15.

Recognition awards honor existing educational programs and curricula for their innovative efforts to bring green building education to a broad spectrum of educational levels and content areas.

The UIA Architecture & Children Work Programme has recently announced a new awards program called the Golden Cube Award. The awards are designed to recognize and celebrate the people and organizations that lay the foundations of an architectural culture; who help children and young people to understand architectural design and the actions that shape our environment.
