AIANJ - AIA's 10 Principles of Livable Communities

Program Description:

AIANJ has created the linked program for 4-8th graders in NJ.  150 architects provided the program to 150 schools in 2007 to celebrate the 150 anniversary of AIA.  The program includes a power point presentation on AIA's 10 principles of livable communities, and custom designed the town planning exercise to allow the students to test out what they had learned during the discussion.  The link also includes a homework handout, sample script, and other tools required to use our materials.  Please feel free to present this program to further the exposure of our children to the benefits of good design.  You will need a laptop, projector and screen to run this program electronically.  Some presenters have printed it all out and done in on paper.  Your choice.
