On October 16th, 2007, a geographically diverse group of organization leaders met in Chicago to arrive at common goals and to lay the foundation for a new association for architecture and built environment organizations. This Organizing Committee was convened to plan the formation of a new network of architecture organizations called the Association of Architecture Organizations (AAO).
